Nittany Consulting Group strives to bring consulting to Penn State by providing students the opportunity to gain a valuable education and unparalleled experiences while exploring what a career in consulting may mean to them. Through NCG, students have access to a competitive educational environment built on the foundations of problem solving and critical thinking. We hope to inspire the next generation of successful consultants by allowing students to apply their education to unique business scenarios through mock business cases and pro-bono consulting engagements.
Nittany Consulting Group was founded in April 2013 by Chris Marthers and Noor Nahavandi, both students in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. Inspired after corresponding with professionals in the consulting industry and competing in various case competitions, Chris and Noor began assembling a team of energetic, driven, and knowledgeable students to help make the organization a reality.
The NCG Consultant:
Transitioning into the consulting field either takes years of industry experience or the demonstrated capacity to thrive in an industry. The bottom line is that it isn't easy to jump into a consulting career right out of college. To help students transition from backpack to briefcase, Nittany Consulting Group has built a core value proposition that defines the organizational structure. NCG allows students to gain real-world experience working on NCG Engagements, build a practical consulting education through the Consultant Training Program, and explore consulting careers through signature events held by NCG Outreach.
